February Archive:
2-25
got a C on that microecon quiz...the average was lower than that...it was
a bit tricky
biggest news today is that i finished updating the campus cinema page...it's
up and the link is now on
my sidebar. tell me what you think and if you see ANY screw ups tell me
before i make a fool of the school.
that's all.
2-21
Latin quiz was pretty good, i'll pass the class, econ wasn't that great,
i'm getting a C in Macro and probably a B or high B in Micro.
found run dmc's christmas in hollis on mp3...it rocks and it's also the
first real song they played in die hard..."Bruce Willis: How about some
christmas music" Argyle: "this IS christmas music!" (the music turns up
and the beginning of the second best movie ever is underway.
Johnny came up, that was cool, I don't know why he doesn't do it more often,
at least the weekend wasn't a complete bore.
work on Sunday's sucks.
i slimmed down my mp3 list by 24 songs (i got two cds, but that only eliminated
about 7 songs...the rest weren't being listened to).
2-19
show was pretty cool.
we played some hip-hop that i picked out...just a few songs, but it was
pretty good the guy before us plays hip-hop and even commented on the music
i picked out...it was cool.
we had some funny moments, but it wasn't as good as the last show.
i went to the public-enemy.com website...it's pretty nice and has an mp4
(exe) file on it...along with a mp3 version of the same free song, they
da bomb. chuck d even visits the website's message board and posts some
of his own information or comments...that's pretty dope, i wish the beastie
boys did that.
I checked out Run-DMC's greatest hits LP at KDVS...it rocks, i'm going
to have to get some public enemy and run dmc as soon as i win the lotto.
gotta study for latin.
2-17
got the radio show tonight...we'll see about that.
got a hit from thailand...cool
i'm using IE 5.0 and Outlook express from now on...not because they are
that great but because netscape messenger crashes and ie 5.0 is quicker.
that's all...oh i'm going to try and get NT 4.0...i'll use that the next
time i format.
2-14
got work in the morning.
phil is here along with his girlfriend - andrea.
phil brought me the discontinued cd case, some beastie boys stuff...ill
communication on vinyl, a sticker and a HUGE poster. oh and he brought
some nice speakers too.
computer was giving me some problems...almost formatted, but i think i
may have solved the problem, cross fingers.
i'm officially the updater for the campus cinema webpage. i went in and
talked with susan, the student director, and she was really cool and basically
told me that i could do whatever i wanted with the page...her brother had
previously worked on it and it looks like he put a lot of work into it...there
are backup copies of the webpage that look pretty nice...i'm going to see
what i can do to improve on it...so far i've done only small stuff like
having the subject field filled out automatically when trying to get free
tickets. i got rid of the index page because it was one of those click
here to enter deals. fixed up a few other tiny things...nothing big, yet.
work is going to suck...i'm going to apply to jamba juice in a couple weeks.
i need to find a job for the summer while i'm up here...i also need to
find what classes i'm going to take, if i'm going to take them. YMCA is
the first priority.
rearranged my side of the room...again, that's twice this year for a total
of 3 different configurations in 5 months...it's more than it sounds like.
i'll have pics up soon enough. well a month or so anyway.
2-9
Phil is coming up in just two more days...eagerly awaiting his arrival.
I got an A- on my Microeconomics midterm....ah yea.
latin is borin as ever but i only have 15 more weeks until i am completely
done with it.
still not sure what i'm doing this summer...could be summer school, maybe
not. i definitely have to goto YMCA camp with Sarah though. Hopefully I'll
have time to see Johnny, get a job, and goto school.
no one has commented on my new sponsor link...i think it is the best part
of the 'new' page.
i probably won't update past thursday until tuesday when phil leaves.
i need lots of compressed air, quick.
2-4
show tonight...www.kdvs.org...the real audio might not be working though.
sorry.
speaking of their webpage, i might be the webpage updater for kdvs soon
enough...we'll see, no promises.
get back my microeconomics test on monday...grades posted on weekend...think
i did pretty well.
later
2-2
updated rants page.
Feb. 1st: (updated while listening to Queen's Greatest Hits)
part of my webpage overhaul will be to give my slant on issues that address
all of us...corny? yep!
i'm also going to slim down the number of pages i have. I've gotten rid
of the pictures page and added it to the now almost blank about me page.
I've added images as you can see. I'm going to add my commentary when you
suggest
something
I updated my mp3 list...winamp produced version and my own version.
Just as an aside from the webpage overhaul info: Jorgay (Jordan, I now
call him Jorgay, just because he is worthy) has a piece of 8 X 11 paper
posted next to his bed that reads: "Remember that everyone you meet is
afraid of something, loves someone and has lost something" -Hope Hill.
The person this is attributed to, Hope Hill, is a friend from LA. The statement
struck me as so completely true and touching that I had to make my own
response to it, here it is.
To think that such geniuses such as Einstein, Socrates, and Jesus (cough)
have come before us, yet never ever said anything as true as what Hope
was able to say. I'm speechless.
I encourage you to check out the about me
page...i've updated it since the previous lines...it doesn't have much
directly about me, but one can figure out from the links etc., much about
me.
I think that's enough updating for today...more to come when I feel
like it.
